K-Nitting

Having a play around with wool I've been collecting from various sources. This sac made itself really. Knitted a rectangle with different colours, folded the top, sewed up the sides, twisted a rope, made a pompom and attached a wooden bead. Voila.

Bathroom and bangle

Extremely happy with the now finished room. From an old, small badly designed space, with a bath, we now have a multipurpose, usable, spacious bathroom. Stone floor tiles with grey grout, large wall tiles and black grout. We really wanted a large basin to double as a laundry trough. Also, the plumbing had to pretty much stay where it was.  It had to be budget friendly and one way to reduce the cost was not to have a glass screen. For me, a shower curtain is more friendly! I made a long curtain from an Ikea (Pia Wallen design) curtain...looks good.

Making

Having some making time and playing around with a new design for Adelaide and Amanda. What do you think?

Stringing

I bought these beads in Paris a few years ago. I found them in a treasure of a shop in the Marais, jammed with beads and all sorts of fixings for making things. They have been at the bottom of the sewing box so thought I had better do something with them.

Global marketplace

Living in a small space means you have to really think about all you bring in to it. Lately I have been dabbling in the global buying and selling market...Ebay. Was surprised to find Gumtree is also owned by Ebay! Less costs but less exposure for the latter. A lovely young woman bought a vintage hair brush and mirror set that I delivered her in person. I hope she enjoys it, turned out she worked in a hair salon.
