PINKS
The voluptuous curves and sensual colours of the 1950's Holdens are a joy. Bring back detailing and pastels I say. Chrome V duco!
Snapshot of St Kilda
It's amazing to see the work that's gone into some of these ironwork gates. Also lacework on many Victorian homes in country areas of Victoria. Hard to believe the juxtaposition of the metal into such delicate lines and shapes, compared to the strong harsh bush.
The Australian bush throws up all sorts of surprises. At the moment our wattle is in full bloom, an extraordinary pop of colour in a drab winter setting. It's so striking, insects could not fail to be attracted! Not long ago I shot the other photo in a cafe, same colours, different situation.
Have been trying some bench top patterning from found objects. This won, hands down. I like the layout, it happened after a fossick on the beach and a bit of fun setting it up. Publication next?
